The following data have to be input into the system to make the order tracking system work:
- clear order numbers for manufacturing orders (more than one manufacturing order has to be defined for a customer order if the number of products ordered by the customer is not manufactured in one lot, or when it comprises different types of product);
- target dates for the completion of the six processes for each order;
- the calculated direct material costs related to the six typical processes;
- for all orders, and weekly, the actual completion dates as to the processes completed.
